Hikaru — The Sushi Wine
Hikaru, created by Di Arie Vineyard & Winery, is meant to be enjoyed with Sushi.
“Hikaru” means “to shine” in Japanese. We wanted our branding and wine label designs to play with concepts of illumination and darkness with each of the three wines being identified with its own burst of light.
Samantha and Owen’s design for the Hikaru Wine can and bottle line is selling better than I could have imagined. And it’s all about Design des Troy’s branding. Their design has been an irreplaceable aspect of Hikaru landing distribution.
Their work is elegant and bold and smart and beautiful. They listened to what our goals were and to what the brand story is, and then they delivered the goods, and it’s a home run.
I will be hiring them for my next project.
